Potomac is one of the most affluent communities in America, according to CNN Money. Some people are familiar with the community from the Bravo-TV show, “The Real Housewives of Potomac,” and it’s true that a number of celebrity sport stars and business owners live here.
People often move to Potomac when they want more space than they can get in Bethesda. The community is outside of the Beltway and consists of approximately 25 square miles of large homesteads and subdivisions with both modern and traditional house styles.
Centrally located Potomac Village Shopping Center contains shops, medical offices, restaurants, and a Starbucks. Public schools are in the highly-rated Winston Churchill High School cluster.
Because of the price-point, Potomac is more typically a move-up market than a first-home market.
